SULLIVAN'S-February 19, 2009

So...once we got a table or two, things got better. Significantly better. I actually ran into an old friend as Andrew & Kara negotiated a table swap with him and his buddies. Good Times.
ANYWAY...since the burgers were half-price, I ALMOST ordered 2...but thought the better of it. I ordered the Burger with Blue Cheese since the waitress said the White Cheddar was on the mild side and they didn't have any BACON or jalapeños to add to it. I have to say that was a good choice. The burger was was cooked perfectly (medium) and the tanginess of the blue cheese was just right. I took my time eating...which doesn't happen often. The fries were pretty good, too.
I almost forgot. Those potato chips with melted Blue Cheese were AWESOME! I don't care what Jessica says.

I'd really like to go back if anyone is interested.

Good experience. I got the burger with white cheddar. The cheese was on the mild side but it was still a very tasty burger. Not Casino good, but ranks well up there. The getting the table wait kind of sucked, but we were going at happy hour and the burgers were 1/2 priced, so a little competition should have been expected. I'm glad that we got a table farther away from the band as closer would have drowned out the conversation. And a single burger was plenty of food. Getting 2 just because they were 1/2 price would have ended up being obscene.

An experience indeed. Agree w/the above posts. The table situation sucked. I'm not a fan of bar stools to begin with. Music was loud, and there was an Austin yuppie vibe. However, the burgers are good. Maybe not Casino good, but the Sullivan's staff is at least friendlier. :)
